Every December my company holds a big dinner to recap the past 12 months, hand out awards to top performers, and unveil a few major goals for the coming year. Unlike most events of this type, our company dinner is always a lot of fun, and is something that everyone looks forward to. This year, I’m responsible for organizing the whole thing, which is why I need to find some San Diego’s corporate event planning resources fast!

I know that there are professional planners available for this purpose, but since a majority of our budget must be spent on the actual party, I can’t afford to hire any of those people. Among the most useful tools I’ve discovered are spreadsheets to list phone numbers, price quotes, and other details from prospective vendors, an RSVP tracker for invited guests, and some budgeting software so I can see exactly how much I’m spending on each component. All of these corporate event planning tools were completely free; all I had to do was tweak the spreadsheets to reflect my company’s data.

I’ve still got a long way to go with this project, but at least now I’m pointed in the right direction and am confident that I’ll be able to get everything done on time and under budget. We’ve had some terrific and very memorable events in the past, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my party will live up to everyone’s high expectations. Corporate event planning might seem like a daunting task at first, but with hard work and the right tools, anyone can do it. And don’t forget: if you have enough money in your budget, you can always hire someone else to take care of the legwork for you!
